GASTOWN...named after Gassy Jack who received his nickname because of his penchant for spinning tall tales and talking without end.

The Gastown Steam Clock was the world's first steam clock and was originally built to cover a steam vent. It weighs 2 tons and whistles every 15 minutes.

Finally after a horrible winter, spring has sprung...the cherry blossoms starting to bloom
A trip to Lynn Valley Canyon...
30 ft long suspension bridge, 150 ft above the green pools of Lynn Creek
Yes, it was still cold, and its even colder in the forest
Looking down from the suspension bridge

Trails follow both sides of the canyon and lead upstream to 30 Foot Pool and downstream to Twin Falls Bridge. There are some wooden staircases and walkways but most of the walkway is a nature trail through the woods and along the Creek, or you can also join a section of the Baden-Powell Trail which stretches over 40km through the North Shore.
