We left North Vancouver...driving up Highland Ave...
...and then The Cut with the Lions Gate bridge in the background...
I still have many updates to make for my time in Vancouver so if you care to check back at some point you may notice new posts that actually occurred prior to part deux of the Roadtrip. I have several started but not yet completed drafts which will just have to wait since there is no way I can finish those entries and keep up to date with the daily Roadtrip blog, too.
You may have noticed that Spunky got his legs back! He underwent some plastic surgery, and a big thank you to my brother for a job well done. We're really happy to have him along of course, but aside from Spunky's perma-smile, I have to say there were some seriously sad faces and tears shed upon departure :-( and it is with a heavy heart I start this new adventure...
On a happier note, the skies cleared up and the sun started shining as we drove through Washington State on our way to Seattle.
Once in Seattle, we had lunch at Slim's Last Chance Chili Shack...the first stop of our culinary adventure series. We had chili cheese fries...
and yes, they tasted as good as they looked!
and now we're heading out to the Market and Space Needle. I'll add a few more pictures to this entry a little later. Tomorrow we have a day of hiking in Mt. Rainier and today was simply exhausting, so I need a good nights sleep.
